M-Audio KEYSTATION 49e – Key USB MIDI Controller

The price of the 49e is one of the best parts, as just about anyone can have a great sounding MIDI keyboard rig with this a few virtual instruments at a very reasonable price. Never junked out on me. I didn’t need any frills or crazy controls. I don’t love this keyboard lol. This is truly a product geared toward budget studios. I would use for anything your doing within an in-house studio. After several back and see that my little market research this model came out from the crowd!

I don’t have a manual so I don’t know how thorough it is, but if you can install it without any issues, it should be pretty smooth sailing. That’s exactly the application I bought it for way back when.

The power of the machine can be done via USB or via a transformer not supplied. Level configuration and nothing much has been reported as separate plug in, play on, varying the octaves fiddling Pitch Bend or Mod-Wheel is super basic No need for a manual since this thing is literally a piano and nothing more. I had used some keyboards with fewer keys. You get what you pay for.

I like the configuration of this controller because it is easy and to the point. Only a few surface scratches from storing it for a few months. I am running this keystaion a Mac Book Pro that has a 2.

I suppose though if you are a beginner and you don’t care about the feel, this is a fine studio unit. Just plug it into the usb and I was ready kegstation go.

It has an output for sustain as well. Cookies help us improve performance, enhance user experience and deliver our services. Its pretty plasticy but it feels good and for the price i can not complain! It has a pitch bend wheel and a modulation wheel, along with a volume slider. Although the 49e keeps it basic, what it lacks in knobs it makes up for in what’s important.

I have no complaints about this products durability. It connects to your computer USB and both pitch and modulation wheels.

I never opened the manual. It has everything you need to make music of your choice. The price was right so I got one. I’ve used numerous keyboards that have a soft feel which makes the music you create just flow better I mean it gets the job done.

Just install the driver and plug it in. The price and keystahion reflect that.

Nothing is missing if you take into account that the 49e is supposed to be a 49 key midi keyboard. I guess it would be nice if there was a velocity selection. Or some decent keys. So for me it’s perfect.

It only affected the keyboard cosmetically. This one has none. I need a master keyboard simply to replace the previous dating 15 years I think
